At this time of year people often recommence gardening and sporting activities with either little or no warm up. This could lead to injury.  Reflexology can help ease the tension in tired muscles.

Although it may be warmer outside, it’s still very important to warm up your muscles before exercise.  Choose a warm-up activity that uses the same muscles you will be using during your workout or gardening, and don’t forget to cool down after!

Reflexology promotes deep relaxation, which may help to ease tension in tired muscles.  The tension tightens the cardiovascular system and restrict blood flow, causing aches and pains. By stimulating the nerve endings on the feet this can keep the body’s circulation flowing smoothly, which rejuvenates tired tissues and sore muscles.

Reflexology can help to increase blood circulation to an injured area of the body, removing toxins and bringing in oxygen.  This helps to support the body’s natural ability to heal itself, and promote faster recovery from injuries.

Pain Relief

Any pain caused by injury can be helped by using either Nerve Reflexology techniques or Vertical Reflexology (VRT).  This helps increase movement to tight and injured muscles and joints.  It also helps stop recurring muscular niggles and accelerates recovery from musculoskeletal issues.

I  give self-help techniques for clients to use between treatments to help accelerate healing.
